TRAINING AND COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT

The Competency Development & Training Division is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing training programmes to enhance staff competencies. Its key functions include conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA), designing training programmes, developing training modules, preparing the annual staff training calendar, implementing competency and academic training programmes, evaluating training effectiveness, and managing training finances. These initiatives ensure that training programmes effectively support both individual and organizational development.

MANDATORY SERVICE COURSES

The division also administers Mandatory Service Courses, including the Public Service Transformation Programme (PTM) and the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Course. These programmes are designed to strengthen the professionalism, competencies, and service excellence of university staff in line with institutional policies and public service requirements.

SYSTEMS INTEGRATION

To support digital training management, the division manages the E-Course System and the Training Data Centre. These platforms enable integrated training administration, improve data management efficiency, and facilitate effective monitoring and reporting of training activities.
